Nikki S. Lee
I chose this photographer because I like the way in which she has approached disguise. She has completely changed her identity by disguising herself as a different person. In each image Nikki has disguised herself to look younger therefore no one will actually recognise how old she is. I have chosen one image to evaluate which is the woman with a phone in her hand. The image is dark and has dark reds and pinks. The image is eye-catching, she is centre of the image and is dominant. The image is an abstract image as she is pretending to be someone else. |

I took these photographs around the school using the same model. I wanted to disguise the persons face by using various objects which I either found or which people had. I think that the photos are are a working progress. I am not pleased with them because I don't feel that they disguise the person well enough. I think that the photograph with the camera in front of the person is successful because I think that this covers the face well. I like the composition because the model is centered and the background is plain which makes it more stand out. Whilst taking this photograph I was standing at the same height as the model. the effect of this photograph is that it has hidden the face well and the lighting creates a shadow across the figure. The angle i was standing at the viewpoint was straight on, i was looking directly at the model holding the camera still.
I started by taking images around the school of different people and I ensured that they were in the centre of the image.
At first I wanted to ensure that they are all in colour however i copied all pictures and had some in different effects and colours to experiment. They all have the same composition which is central rather like a family portrait image. Whilst photographing i was standing right in front of the people in the pictures, however i tilted the camera to the side as i wanted my images to be portrait. I was not moving whilst taking these images but i was looking straight on and ensured they were all in the centre of the image. I chose to isolate everything from the background ad did not allow a lot of information to access in the image. I used a lens to draw us close to the image therefore the only eye catching thing will be the person in the centre of the image.

I have distorted the portraits which I have taken using Photoshop in order to experiment with a new programme. I used the liquify tool and I also used bloat and pucker. At first I wanted to ensure that I made them completely unrecognisable, however it did not work out how i planned as of my perspective I can still notice who the person is. To improve this on my next experiment i will make sure i disguise the model as much as I can. I plan to do this by further experimenting and distorting the figure by changing the body also and experimenting by changing the clothing of the figures.
