Cynatypes
This was my first experiment using cynatypes. i used several objects such as; perfume, pins, a video, ear phones and more. I think i need improvement by making sure that all objects in the cynatypes are visible and easy to guess what it is, rather than having some objects which are transparent.
Anna Atkins
Anna Atkins was born in Tonbridge, Kent, England in 1799. Her father John George Children, who was a scientist. Anna became interested in botany and that is the main subject of her cyanotypes. Her love of nature and flowers are included in her work. Here are some examples of her work.
These are cyanotypes of Anna Atkins. These are photograms of plants. This image is a really dark blue, this makes the flowers stand out more and there very clear which suggests she left it for a long time.

This cyanotype is more of a faded blue and the fern also stands out a lot suggesting Anna left this photogram longer in the sun as well. It is so clear and you can see all of the detail on the fern.
